Of course the Isarco Valley also has to offer culturally highlights. Particularly the city of Brixen will convince you of its charm. Churches, chapels, cloisters, sculptures, late-gothic altar, highly seen frescoes and the Lauben of Brixen may inspire you
The bishop’s town also has a special offer for bad weather days: The experience bath Acquarena offers the suitable aim to every searching: whether swim, have a sauna or just relax. The Acquarena is worth a visit in any case!
To the advent season the old town of Brixen changes into a magic and dreamy place. A special time also begins in Brixen with the Advent season: Lights illuminate the town and stands with traditional South Tyrolean products open their doors. The Christmas fair in Brixen inspires young and old. Wooden carvings, cradles, cradle figures, handmade earthenware, candles, painted glass balls as well as South Tyrolean delicacies reflect the tradition in Brixen/South Tirol. A special highlight is the vin brulè which is offered in some stand on the Christmas fair in Brixen. Young and old can spend here a nice time: Families or couples can undertake a romantic carriage journey; children can enjoy the carousel and the pony horse riding. And not to forget: On the 5th of December the Nikolaus visits the city of Brixen!
