Christmas
Only 30 km separate us from the bishop's town Brixen, the oldest town of Tyrol and the principal place of the Eisacktales. In a charming scenery the guest finds many worth seeing beauties with us: Churches, chapels, cloisters sculptures, Late-Gothic altars and high-respected frescoes are the witnesses of an artistic past.
With the Advent time a special time begins in Brixen. The ceremonious and comfortable Christmas lighting gives to the town a dreamy look. Here tradition finds itself South Tyrolean! You find wooden carvings, cradles and cradle figures, handmade earthenwares, candles and painted glass balls as well as culinary South Tyrolean lusciousness and a warming mulled claret on the South Tyrolean "infant Jesus market".
For families and couples the "Christmas fair" offers comfortable and romantic coach journeys by the Brixner Old Town. The roundabout and the pony horse riding, as well as the Kinderbasteltage, that every Wednesday take place bring child eyes to shine.
Not to miss: On the 5th of December the Nikolaus comes to Brixner Old Town and to the Christmas fair on the cathedral place.
